I have been tutoring students in business, accounting, and finance topics since 2020. I offer tutoring services to both individuals and groups in an online environment.
The method that I use is a combination of my education and experience as a full-time and part-time tutor at colleges and universities with the latest technologies available for online tutoring.
I hold a Bachelor's degree from the Philippine Christian University, with a major in Accountancy. While my first degree is a Bachelor of Science in Business Management majoring in Finance from different universities in the Philippines. My undergraduate studies were supplemented by a Master's of Business Administration from the Central College of the Philippines and planning to take a Master's in Accounting at Liberty University. After my MBA, I am currently taking up my Doctorate in Business Administration at a university school in London.
Before becoming an academic tutor, I worked for five years as a Freelance Bookkeeper, Accountant, Finance manager, and US Tax Accountant in some companies in the United States, Canada, and the UK.
As a professional tutor in the field of business and accounting, I have found that a good method to keep students focused is to have them note the three things for each lesson that they will take away from it. As I am teaching the lesson, I will call out the three points I want them to remember as I go along. Depending on how much time there is at the end of class, we will review the three points. At first, students might think this is tedious and unnecessary, but by the end of the semester, it becomes ingrained in their studying habits. This helps students focus on key concepts and also helps them remember what was important in each lesson.
