I am writing to express my interest in the math tutor position . I have been tutoring math for over 6 years, and I have a strong passion for helping students learn and succeed.
In my previous role as a math tutor and SAT trainer at Cognition education UK, Growing stars and Byjus, worked with students of all ages from KS1 TO GCSE and abilities. I developed individualized study plans for each student and used a variety of teaching methods to help them understand the material. I also helped students prepare for standardized tests, such as the SAT.
I am confident that I have the skills and experience that you are looking for in a math tutor. I am a patient and dedicated tutor who is committed to helping students succeed. I am also a good communicator and I am able to work effectively with students of all learning styles.
I am available to start immediately and I am willing to work flexible hours of 20 hrs per week . I am also willing to travel to the student's home or to a public location.
My math lessons are typically 60 minutes long and follow a clear structure:
Introduction: I'll start by introducing the new concept or skill that we'll be learning. I'll use clear and concise language, and I'll provide examples to help you understand the concept.
Practice: We'll then do some practice problems to help you solidify your understanding. I'll provide you with step-by-step instructions, and I'll be there to help you if you get stuck.
Application: We'll then apply the new concept or skill to a real-world problem. This will help you see how math can be used in everyday life.
Reflection: We'll end the lesson by reflecting on what we learned. I'll ask you questions to help you think about the new concept or skill in more depth.
