My main area of expertise is A-Level Economics, as I have an excellent understanding of the syllabus and essay marking criteria. While completing my A-Level in Economics, I consistently submitted A* standard work and am confident in my ability to help students achieve top grades. I am also well-versed in mentoring students for university admissions, including Oxbridge applications. Having personally applied to Oxbridge and several Russell Group universities, I am well-equipped to advise on activities that enhance applications to top universities, as well as entrance test preparation. Additionally, I am comfortable tutoring Mathematics for primary and secondary school students up to Year 9.

My initial lesson with a student is spent identifying the main areas of the subject they would like to work on, and the following lessons will build on that. For example, if a student is struggling with understanding content, lessons will be more presentation-based, with practice questions at the end. On the other hand, if a student wants to work on their essay technique primarily, I get them to write and mark an essay with me so they can identify the main areas of improvement, and I usually will assign some essay work to do for homework to mark together in the next lesson. Of course, if students need help with both content and essay technique, we will have a mixture of both!

I have experience working with students of varying learning needs, and I am very patient! I can also very easily sympathise with my students as I only recently graduated from Sixth Form, and I am still a student myself.
