My lessons range from 1-2 hours and take place on Zoom, Teams, or another convenient platform of your choosing. Depending on the student's needs, we can practice conversational English, specific academic and professional topics, or work on tasks such as essays, homework, and reading important texts. I have a wealth of experience working with young children as they learn to listen, speak, read, and write more effectively. College preparation and business English are also among my specialties. At the undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate levels, I assist students to complete their coursework effectively and professionally. My teaching strategies include targeted instruction, games, quizzes, lectures, and the use of a variety of resources such as supplemental texts and software. The best way to learn English is to practice with a native speaker, and the best way to learn good writing is to read great literature and other advanced texts. I can help students to find the resources they need for their research in any topic, including textbooks, scholarly articles, and online databases. My broad subject matter knowledge can assist students who are struggling in any class that involves reading, writing, or giving presentations. I have worked with students from all over the world including Mexico, China, Russia, Japan and the UK and I am very friendly and supportive to students of any background or skill level. That being said, I am prepared to challenge you and assist you to move beyond your comfort zone in order to develop a true mastery of the English language.
