I do a zoom meeting and share screen approach. I also implement power point presentations and we watch videos on the subject matter being taught. I also will do role playing activities and go over assignments in great detail. This way each student will feel appreciated and will learn to love history like I do. I also help students to write papers and help them conduct research. We will brain storm the topics in detail and then the student will decide which avenue they want to take. I have had 100 percent success rate with all my previous students. I try and give detail feedback on questions they may ask and if the questions are in greater depth then we will go on a virtual field trip to find the answers. I also will incorporate real life lessons from trips that I have taken such as Custards Last stand. The battle of Antiem, Mount Rushmore and many other places as well. I will also give the students practices tests questions that we will go over together. In addition, I also allow the students to teach me something new about the topic they are studying. I work closely with what the teachers assign and add a little more variety and spice to the topic under investigation. I also have found that when students come to the sessions with questions then our meetings are far more productive then if I was to create and teach the lessons myself.
