In our first session, I like to get all the information I need to tailor lessons individually and find out what it is you are working on or need. I will not waste your time or money going through lengthy lessons, but work a level higher than where you are at during each step. This is gradual, but I only review if I feel you need to review. There will be activities you will need to do on your own, especially in writing and research. Sometimes I will do a diagnostic test to find strengths, weaknesses and to gauge your learning.
We can go over coursework you are currently completing in school. We can also work in advance of projects or academic papers. You can always ask questions.
I will be helping you to succeed in your academics depending on your goals. If your goals are to go to University, I will help you to prepare, and I can even help with filling out applications, writing a CV, or cover letters.
If you're an English Language Learner, you would also be helping me to hone my skills as a teacher of English to speakers of other languages. We can have conversational sessions to improve your English if you wish.
