I recently graduated from a PGDE secondary (Biology) course, studying and training to be a science teacher. Although my specialty is Biology, I have had experiences working in different schools, teaching other sciences at the BGE level (Physics and Chemistry). I am well versed on the Scottish curriculum and can teach Biology up to National 5 level. Throughout my experiences from placements, I have gained and developed several methods to teach students about the science subject.
I am a very imaginative teacher. I prefer teaching methods where my students can visualise and have fun with their lessons, instead of being submitted to do constant written work at all times. I love to create imaginative ways that my students can help remember each topic more effectively. This comes from my own passion for the subject where I love to talk and share my knowledge as I myself find the subject very interesting.
My goal as a teacher is to excite my students with the science subject; and to expand their curiosity and interest of the world of science.
