My teaching method involves 90% conversation. I focus on ensuring the student is left feeling more confident after each lesson: being ready to converse with anyone in any circumstance or situation. I believe the most important aspect of any language is expression. Being able to express oneself and communicate to anyone suggests confidence in any language. Grammar and vocabulary become a natural aspect of progress once the fundamental concept of confidence and pronunciation is achieved. Specific grammatical lessons will be contained within each lesson, but evenly placed within the constant ability to first communicate confidently.

Each lesson’s dynamic contains activities, various topics of conversation and exercises. I also receive feedback with an open mind on what the student desires to accomplish, their personal targets, hopes and insecurities. Therefore the individual lesson plans will be according to those specific desires. This also involves exercises in writing and listening, not just speaking and language acquisition.

My attitude is friendly, happy and passionate. I believe in an environment that is friendly and where people are open and feel comfortable to talk, to make mistakes and to be ready for correction with no offence given or received. I encourage a healthy relationship between teacher and student where progress is measured solely by the student’s personal pace.
