Denis Maksimov-Gupta

Denis breaks down the disciplinarity of contemporary humanities and finds exciting connections in distant political geographies weaving trans-historical thematic knots in his lectures and public talks. He was the “Futures of Democracy?” visiting lecturer at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, taught at the Institute of Contemporary Art (Moscow) and was a co-convenor of PPV: Politics and Aesthetics in the Global East, an event platform and seminar series hosted by the University College London. He gave talks at the Universities of Cambridge, Cologne, Bremen, Edinburgh, Namur, Leuven, St Andrews, Roskilde, Tallinn; FAAP (São Paulo), The New School (New York), Jan van Eyck Academie (Maastricht).
