I aim to be free flowing while having lessons, allowing for questions when there's lack of clarity or understanding. I allow my students to dictate the direction of the studies as it is important for them to come out from the class having a firm grasp of what was thought and be able to explain when asked details of what the class entails.
I have a background in mathematics and advanced mathematics as I studied them during my secondary school studies and was part of my university studies for my bachelor's and master's degree in architecture. I have experience teaching secondary school mathematics to young adults students. I drive a lot of joy in teaching and moulding young minds as I was raised by a teacher. I grew up in a household where learning, and continuous development is encouraged and this informed my decision to go into this as I know I will be able to assist other individuals to develop their skills. I believe that there is nobody that cannot be taught, it is the approach taken that decides the level of understanding and retention the student exhibits afterwards. I strongly believe it is important to listen and take cues when teaching as we are all different and learn differently. Some people are visual and expressive learners, some people need to be explained to more than once, some people learn quickly, some people take their time to digest information before understanding, whole some people need to be explained to only once before they understand and I aim to understand my student before teaching them to ensure the best experience.
I am patient and very understanding as it is an important trait to have as a teacher. I look forward to meeting you my new student.
