I am an engineering student at Imperial College London and I have enjoyed Maths my whole life. I love how solving problems never has to take only one approach - not many students realise that you can be creative with it!
I have been told that I am a very cheery and positive person that brings a lot of fun into the conversation, which I would love to deliver to my students in the same way. I understand that Maths has its difficulties (trust me, we've not always been best friends!), but learning different methods and applying ones that come more naturally to you makes problem-solving in Maths so much easier.
Each session is carefully planned and suited to individual students. I also give homework each week so that students are able to practice outside the lessons to retain knowledge.
- Start of lesson: Going through the homework from the previous week + any questions on the topics learnt
- We will then go through foundations of the topics chosen by the student to learn (theory-based learning)
- Go through examples of the content learnt as this is the best way to understand what the student has learnt
- End the session with a summary of what we have learnt and answer any questions.
I would like to emphasise that I am not strict with my timings and prefer to dedicate my time to students whenever they need help, so if they have questions out of the classroom, I will be happy to answer them at any time.
