If I become your tutor then our first lesson will be based around getting to know you. Not only to remove any awkwardness of being complete and total strangers, but to figure out what works best for you, where you’re at and where you’d like to be, anything we might need to focus on, and lay out a tutoring roadmap together. If you aren’t happy with your tutoring sessions or the progress you’re making, then neither am I and I won’t stop until we get to a place where you can be satisfied.
While I am by no means an expert on the subject of neurodivergence, as somebody who is neurodivergent myself I totally understand how it can impact learning and that some other methods may need to be implemented in order to accommodate this. I completely understand the struggle of being taught in a way that would only pander to neurotypical students and feeling frustrated and upset while those around me seemingly flourished. I want you to know that’s not your fault if you feel that way too! As previously stated I am not an expert on the field but I am able to share tips and tricks from one neurodivergent person to another that helped me get through academic schooling and to where I am today!
