As a student myself I like to believe I understand how to educate while also creating enjoyable lesson plans that are still effective. With past students, I found that by including their interests to the lesson plan they were able to work more efficiently. Whether that may be sports, film, books, theatre, music, I can cater my content to fit that of my student. The dynamics of my lesson will include a good portion of back and forth conversation, I want to engage with my students throughout our lessons as I feel that will not only give them practice but also draw their attention more to the content. The content of the lesson will follow the National Curriculum so that students are prepared to take any national exam, such as TOFEL, GCSEs, A Levels and so on. The primary focus will be for reading and writing, but I do want to improve their speaking abilities and enhance their conversational skills. In my classes there will be a fair load of homework and tasks I would like them to complete outside of our private lessons, these tasks will not always be tedious as I will find things that are enjoyable for each specific student. My experience has mainly been toward fellow University students, English as a second language and those in Year 7 and below, so I think I am able to resonate with groups from quite a few age ranges and different levels. I do enjoy teaching and I believe I will put in a great deal of effort to support my students and push them to the best of their abilities.
