As a tutor I favour the student's depth of knowledge over everything, hence I focus on making sure the student understands how the concepts work, where they come from and what they imply. For the best information retention and exam technique I also tend to do a lot of practice questions making sure I vary the style and theory/ideas behind them.

I usually, for the first lesson, begin with an assessment to find a students potential weak points, then I make sure I approach these points starting from fundamentals upto advanced content, supplying lots of questions and examples for best engagement from the student. I enjoy showing and explaining proofs for as many of the theories taught as possible, since knowing the principles behind these theories provides the students with all the tools necessary to solve complex problems.

I teach exclusively online unless there is a special case where the client lives nearby to me.
