I am an experienced chemist with over 5 years teaching experience of GCSE through to A-level at Monmouth Schools, I have taught pupils of all abilities and levels of understanding, including second language pupils. I am now a full-time tutor with extensive experience tutoring over a hundred pupils of varied academic backgrounds.

I have taught foundation and higher, double and triple award GCSE, IGCSE, A-level, IB and provide coaching for challenges such as the Chemistry Olympiad. I like to run discussion-based lessons where we both talk through the topics. My work is focused as much as possible on understanding, not rote learning. We will talk through why answers are correct, and what the implications are. This will help you to combine this information into the other topics you know, creating more links between these different areas and helping you to recall the information in your exams.

I must stress however, and this is very important, it is simply my preference to teach in this style. My goal is to provide lessons that work for you! So whatever you need these sessions to be, I can accommodate you.
