I qualified as a teacher in 2003 and have taught at Emmanuel College Gateshead and Barnard Castle School, where I was Head of Physics until I retired in 2017. The shortage of Physics teachers meant that I continued to teach in a number of schools. My experience includes teaching both domestic GCSE and Cambridge International GCSE. At A-Level I have taught the domestic qualifications, and also the Cambridge Pre-U course.
I have been offering private tuition in Physics for about 15 years and for the past three years this has been almost exclusively online. I gave up classroom teaching two years ago to concentrate on my online tuition activity. During the school year I typically have around ten students mostly studying A Level Physics.
I have an extensive range of teaching materials which I use during my online presentations. My students receive a PDF copy of the notes from each session.
“David has tutored our daughter for the last twelve months His calm and gentle manner, along with his patience, helped to give the confidence, knowledge and understanding that was needed to achieve an excellent grade. I would highly recommend David to any parent who wants to give their child the extra support they may need to achieve.”
