David Rafferty

Hello! I am a primary school tutor with a first class degree in primary education studies and four years of experience in teaching. I specialise in exciting English and maths lessons that encourage a love for the subject and problem solving. My tutoring specialises in reasoning and explaining problems so that children can show a deep and confident understanding of the topic.


I have a range of experiences teaching children with additional needs. I am a strong believer that children with learning or language barriers and children working above their expected level can all achieve the same in maths and English. I work with you and your child to build tailor made lesson plans so that they get the most out of any learning session with me.


Any tutoring session I teach centres around proving or disproving a statement as the main objective and I provide a learning map to all parents to show how I aim to progress skills and knowledge step by step.
