I have been fortunate to have a wide-range experience of teaching art to the young and old, students with learning difficulties/differences with a range of abilities and medical conditions.
I am committed to ensuring the student has a safe learning environment.
I always want to make the lessons enjoyable because I feel happy students produce the best work.
I always endeavour to bring out the student’s talent. I feel that there is an artist in everyone. We just need to find a way to access it.
I like to challenge my students with a wide-range of interesting and unique art projects. I find that my students always begin with “I can’t do that!” But by the end of the lesson they are genuinely shocked by what they have achieved! It’s amazing what you can do if you put your mind to it.
If you are worried that you are not good at art but would like to do have a go, then I would love the opportunity to help you.
My style is to gently encourage students to have a go and then if it is too difficult, I will step in and help. I allow the lesson to be guided by the student.
I am happy to teach using a wide-range of mediums from oil painting to acrylics. I also enjoy teaching people to draw.
I always want to offer my students the opportunity to shine and be the best they can be.
