The student will first contact me about the particular topic(s) that require attention or are simply of interest. I will often use a PowerPoint to give visual clarity to the subject as well as notes and summaries. History can be complex but it is also fascinating and can be simplified without losing the essentials. Having previously tutored some secondary (or high) school students I find a simple approach to be best and to allow the student's curiosity to lead the details from then on!
