Respecting my work experience, I´ve been an English teacher for over 23 years at different Universities and Language Institutes. I taught at Universidad del Pacífico for two years and at Universidad San Francisco de Quito for 16 years. I´ve taught English and Spanish online for Fluency Corp and Global Lt (US educational corporations) for five years.

Furthermore, I have taught beginners, intermediate, and advanced levels up to Composition and Rhetoric to young adults, professionals, and business people. Finally, respecting teaching and learning methodologies, my favorite pedagogy is the communicative approach with a combination of language aspects like language analysis (grammar, lexis, and phonology) adapting to the individual learner´s goals, learning styles, and particular needs.

I have successfully used the communicative approach to dramatically impact students’ higher performance, especially in speaking skills at all levels of their language acquisition.

Working online has allowed me to use different teaching and interactive resources such as videos, audio tapes, worksheets, and readings, which make my classes fun, exciting, and engaging. My students have not only enjoyed every one of my lessons, but they have also reached their learning goals in a very short time compared to the traditional methods that overemphasize grammar rules rather than the communicative aspects of 2nd language learning, such as speaking and understanding when interacting with English native speakers.
