Having worked tutoring and mentoring police recruits for many years, I have found that every individual has a different way of interpreting and learning. As such, my approach is based on the individual, assessing their current understanding of the topic, guiding them to a level of knowledge and understanding that will remain with them more clearly. It is easy to sit and read legislation. The ability to acknowledge what sections are relevant, how to recall and apply them are entirely different.
