My lessons are online and very student led. I have taught both A level history and politics at the leading college in Lancashire. I have also taught on their history degree course which was validated by UCLan. I can help with essay writing structure and understanding and also plan student centred revision sessions.

My specialisms include A level -The Tudors and Germany (history) and UK Government, UK Politics. Liberalism, Socialism, Conservatism, Anarchism and Feminism (politics). At degree level I have lectured on numerous Modern History and Historiography modules.

I am also a public historian specialising in sports history. I have delivered lectures on various aspects of football history. I hope to begin my PhD later this year (2025) in another area of sports history.

My teaching is very much student led and centred on the desire to help every student achieve the best that they can. My lessons will not be online lectures where the student writes notes as quickly as possible. I do not think that is the best way to learn. My lessons with focus on the areas that the student needs help with and will be conversational and student led. In my previous college post I had a 100% student pass rate in A level politics

My first lesson is free, which means that students can try my sessions to see if they like my way of teaching. Part of the first session will involve me getting to know the student and what topics they need help with.
