I have gone through the messy, non-personalised processes of secondary school and 6th form, and am currently studying in university. What stood out to me the most was how the lessons that were taught were not done so efficiently and effectively. As a tutor I aim to change that, more specifically in the subject of biology. The Sciences has always been some of the toughest subjects to understand with many different names and processes, which can be difficult to learn and understand. Adapting to the modern form of education isn’t easy for some people and it shouldn’t be the only option, which is why I’m taking a different approach. The content of what I will be teaching will be exactly the same, consisting of all the essential information and skills needed to excel in your exams, but it will be far more tailored to you. My form of teaching consists of a “from the ground, up” approach. I like to start with a very neat oversimplification of a topic, that way I get a grasp of how you view and understand things. After that, we can go over the same points but in more detail, all at the pace you find most comfortable. If you’ve ever felt like you were always different in the way that you learn, compared to your peers, then I am the tutor for you, coming from the same background :) .
