My name is Dave, and I am a retired qualified teacher and I now specialise in on-line GCSE maths tutoring teaching students in years 7-11.
I work with students studying towards either higher or foundation level qualifications.
• I have held my session price for the past three years and they will stay at the current amount of £35 per one hour session for the entirety of your tuition.
• I hold Qualified teacher status.
• To date I have delivered over 4000 hours of online GCSE maths tuition sessions.

• I have an Enhanced DBS
Prior to retiring I taught GCSE maths in mainstream and further education for over twenty years.
I teach GCSE, iGCSE, functional skills up to level 2 and pre QTS maths. I cover all the main examination boards.
My usual student age range is from 11 to 16 although for functional skills and QTS maths there is no upper age limit. I am happy to work in parallel to school sessions or to develop an independent strategy based on an individual student’s needs if required.
I have a very calm and engaging approach to teaching and this, along with on line one to one tuition in the student’s home environment ensures that students can develop their maths skills to their full potential, and this is usually achieved far quicker than in a classroom environment.
The Online classroom is purpose designed as such and will contain all the tools you need for your sessions. You will be sent a personal log in to the classroom every week.
All session are 1-2-1, you will never share tuition time with another student.

David has been a great tutor for GCSE maths. He takes time to explain the topic so that there is a deep level of understanding ensuring the learning is fully retained. He is adaptable in the pace to suit the student and the topic, building the students confidence.

After not doing so well in some maths tests at school my son decided he wanted help to fill in gaps in his knowledge that occurred during lockdown. Since finding David on ***** and working with him for a number of weeks my sons knowledge has improved, gaining higher scores in tests, with this his confidence has grown. David has proved to be ideal for my son. He’s very engaging, with great communication. Would highly recommend.

My son is finding the online tuition really helpful . Very clear instructions and tuition . Flexibility to cover areas which he feels he needs more support with . It has supported his learning and also increased his motivation and ability to revise independently also .
