My teaching preference is to use a learner centred approach meaning that you will probably be having some issues or would like some direction in a specific music production technique for a composistion that you have written for example. I will construct and facilitate a lesson plan to acheive your desired outcomes after a disscusiion with myself.

This could also apply to certain applicable course work too contained within GCSE and above qualifications.

If you are totally new to music I can also provide some fundimentals of music theory such as note key types, reading a score, naming notes and their lengths, chords, writing melody and harmony.

As music production is mostly a practicle skill, there are limits to theory based lessons, and without equipment or instruments to practice with, might prove difficult to acheive online only lessons.

I use industry standard DAW's, midi controllers, synthesizers and DSP/native plugins utilising hard-disk multitrack recording.

However, I do have a studio which can cater for most needs and a portable version if required (though more limited) if travel is difficult.

MY experience in music and sound production is over some ten years including some comissioned work and self released projects on spotify, digital games using techniques such as creating foley SFX and writing incidental music. I also like to DJ variuos genres using digital technology and mix electronic music that I have written via traktor.

Additionally to my degree I hold a teaching qualification, and an enhanced DBS certificate for working with vulnerable groups.
