Hi!

I'm Darragh ("Dara"). I'm a native English speaker and qualified (CELTA) English teacher with 8 years experience giving classes to foreign learners of all ages, levels and language requirements.

My 8 years of teaching experience have been very varied. I have taught students from age 6 and up, all levels from complete beginner to proficiency, Cambridge exams, company classes, students with special needs like Autism and ADHD, and from all backgrounds.
My students have been from all over the world (Europe, Africa, South America, the Middle-East and Asia). The majority of my students have been from Spain, Portugal, Italy, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, China, Japan and Turkey. But I've also done volunteer classes in Ireland for refugees from Syria and Ukraine to help them communicate their needs and integrate into the community.

Nowadays I am offering online classes only. I am excited about this new stage in my teaching as I embrace new technologies and incorporate them into my classes. I am moving away from a typical style of class to become far more efficient and analytical of the students' language and progress by using technologies we have available. For this approach I have kept in mind the "Roadmap" reference for learning. For the student this means a visual reference of their progress, clarity on their specific weaknesses, and a clear map for future learning. My students have loved this approach and have said it has motivated them much more than before.
