Available online Monday to Friday in the morning, anytime before 1pm, I am an online French tutor with experience working with people of all ages and abilities, and am comfortable working with students in both educational/academic and professional environments. I have experience working with children from a wide variety of backgrounds and educational needs as a volunteer with a local Primary School, supporting lessons in French as a Foreign Language.
In regard to academic experience, I achieved an A* at GCSE, an A at A-Level and a 1:1, (First), in the first year of studies at university. As a result of the Covid Lockdown and its impact on our studies, I have first-hand experience both learning and teaching languages online, and understand how best to both engage and support students in this format. As a current student of Modern Languages, I fully understand the challenges they present and am keen to share the strategies I have developed to support learning.
I am happy to adapt to any student's individual needs, to tailor lessons to best suit them and provide support in any areas they may be finding challenging, such as grammar, speaking or listening.
In supporting younger students, I look to find ways to incorporate their own interests into the lessons, be it football, books, etc, and with more advanced students, such as adults and those at A-Level, I introduce French media, current events and culture.
I look forward to engaging students with dynamic and flexible lesson plans to help them best to succeed.
