Dara Lasegha Bolaji

Hi! I'm Dara - an actress and poet eager to help you achieve your learning goals. Our online lessons will be interactive and tailored to you. We'll begin by identifying your current skill level and reasons for wanting to learn and then we'll go from there. My priority is to support you and your progress, so I will always be kind and patient with you while holding you accountable.

I first embraced teaching when, as a child, I assisted my mother in the French classes she ran for children in our neighbourhood. During my university studies, I spent a summer in Poland working as a conversation partner with teenagers learning English. In the last 3 years, I have gained experience as a teacher’s assistant, working with a tutor who teaches English to Portuguese speakers. It brings me joy to watch my students progress, and I feel honoured to know I am positively impacting their language learning journey.

I am a language lover - a native English speaker, semi-fluent in French since childhood, and currently learning Portuguese. Hence, I mainly cover language subjects:
- English as a foreign language for adults and students aged 12+
- English as a first language for primary school students
- French tuition for students at GCSE level and below
- Beginner French classes for adults.

Additionally, I offer Maths lessons up to KS3 - I got a grade A* in Maths GCSE (equivalent to grade 9 in the current grading system).
