I worked in the private sector and have brought all my skills to the table when tutoring. I tutored my children who are now adults and have successful careers in the areas they studied. I am a tutor who teaches their students to think and problem solve as these skills can be carried into their future lives. I love it when my student gets the light bulb moment and applies what they have learnt with me in the classroom. It creates a wonderful sense of achievement.

I have been tutoring for over a decade and taught over 150 students from primary to secondary, focuses on 11plus, SATs, general primary and maths and English GCSE. I tutored face to face pre COVID and now tutor solely online, which means tuition continues even when the student is on holiday, if the parent wishes.

I teach according to the ability of the student and at a pace that suits them. To ensure that students understand what they have been taught, I ask them to explain answers in detail to re-enforce their learning. I ensure that the sessions are fun, interactive and inspiring. Lots of praise and encouragement is given to build confidence; a confident child learns.

I follow the schools curriculum; if a child needs to be challenged I will happily tutor in topics above their age group.
