In my online lessons, I will share my screen and use my touch-screen pencil to write out math problems and concepts to make learning easier.

Before I begin each lesson, I will provide starter questions I have made tailored to what I’ve recorded my student has struggled to answer in the past.

During each lesson, I will explain each concept in detail, comparing it to real-life situations to allow the student to imagine why we would need to use this in our daily lives. Visualisation has helped me get A-A*s in GCSE maths, so I know teaching it will provide much help to students.

At the end of explaining a topic, I will provide light questions which will warm up the student to harder, possibly GCSE-level questions at the end which can help them think deeply about it, however I will not aim to teach GCSE topics and just use questions from the GCSE as a challenge to make the student think critically about the topic.

Around once a month, I will craft 45 minute assessments for the student to complete in timed conditions in lesson, to train them for actual exams in school. I will then mark this and it will give me an excellent idea of where exactly the student is at and where I need to focus revision with them.

I will only teach topics which the student is doing in school typically, however if you would like me to go over other maths topics I’m more than happy to do so ??????
