I’m a 12 year long session musician. I’ve toured the world, playing stadiums for acts such as Max Rafferty (The Kooks), Thyla and Love for the Peaches. I’ve recorded in some of the worlds best studios, signed multiple independent record deals. My tracks and drum performances have achieved accolades such as BBC1R1 Track of the week, 5 x New Music Friday Spotify Playlist syncs, BBC Radio 6 Roundtable and NME artists of 2018. I also compose and produce music and have synced my music for L’ORÉAL, Made In Chelsea and on many Steam games.
I’m a keen music theorist with a penchant for communicating it to those in a rut/dispondent with it. I’m empathetic to different learning styles and will adapt each lesson to encourage optimal improvement.
I have a small studio space in Portslade which is set up with mixing desks, whiteboard and PA for a quality performative and academic teaching space. I consult a wealth of historical drumming and musical literature and tie it up with an astute historical musical knowledge.
I’ll teach anything from jazz independence, sight reading, odd subdivision choppery, elementary basics, matrix coordination grids, playing for the song, timing, time systems, flow, dynamics, hand and foot technique, genre based vocabulary, groove studies, polyrhythms and applications.
Each lesson comes with a pdf breakdown so you can take the lesson away with you and revise at your own leisure. I also will answer any questions you have with the content via email or WhatsApp.
