I am guided by the principle that learning and education have developed me as a person and consistently opened fantastic opportunities and want the same to be true for others.

Tailoring my approach to different learners' needs, lessons review challenging "homework" set by me (I set up to 1 hour for each session), before introducing new concepts/harder question types using virtual whiteboard technology.

I achieved A*A*A* Maths, Further Maths and Economics A-levels and have consistently reached UKMT follow-on rounds, including olympiads, showing my passion for learning maths outside the classroom. My main aim as a tutor is to spread this enthusiasm of learning to others, allowing understanding to follow naturally.

I primarily teach 11-16 maths for all abilities. I have previously taught maths and english to 10 year olds in and also A-level economics, both in a voluntary capacity.

I establish a firm knowledge baseline, then I use simple examples to further test understanding, using physical objects or analogies as much as possible. I focus on teaching maths in a way that a allows understanding of the process rather than just "getting through" a set of problems to improve the pace of learning future content.

I find that firm mathematical skills underpin my varied interests in philosophy, politics and technology which have allowed me to join the internationally prestigious Atlas Fellowship and Non-trivial Fellowship communities.

Passionate about quantitative economics, I regularly apply calculus and statistics for modelling and forecasting and am developing my data analysis skills further using R software.

In my spare time I learn Korean, play the piano, compose music and research economic policy.

I reached out to Danny for maths GCSE help because he came recommended. I found him friendly and great at explaining stuff. He always went out of his way to find the right resources and helped me work on my worst areas like circle theorems which we repeated frequently. The hard work paid off- I got grade 9 and have felt confident starting A-level math and further maths- I still seek additional lessons with him to help me on some topics. He's a great mathematician and he often predicts what mistakes I will make before I do. Would recommend Danny to you highly!
