Danielle Christie

I recently completed my BSc in Applied Psychology at Glasgow Caledonian University with specialty in Counselling Psychology. During my degree, I had the opportunity to study at Maastricht University in the Netherlands, where I focused on Psychedelic Therapy. Upon returning to Glasgow, I served as President of the Research in Psychedelic Medicine Society at GCU, contributing to the development of a comprehensive knowledge database in the field. In addition I undertook an Access to Higher Education course in Sociology and Psychology in London.

I am passionate about self development and aspire to help any individual looking to expand their knowledge on any of these topics, supported by expansive scientific literature and academic teachings. Having sought academic development support myself and living with ADHD, I understand the pressures and challenges of grasping complex issues in Psychology and related fields such as Neuroscience and Psychopharmacology.

Being a mature student and my experiences of living, working, and studying in different cities have equipped me to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and age groups. I offer personalized tutoring tailored to your learning style, available both in person and online. My lessons focus on key concepts, theories, and the application of psychological principles. I incorporate a problem-based learning structure alongside the standard project-based learning commonly used in the UK. This enhances the critical thinking, problem-solving, and self-directed learning skills needed in psychology related studies. Additionally, I provide guidance on meeting UK undergraduate academic standards, including APA formatting and citation, as well as support in designing academic projects.
