I have a first class Honours Degree in History and a very high standard of written English (A level equivalent). I am currently a Fine Arts student at the University of Salford, so I can also offer Arts and all humanities. Through my historical studies I have also gained cognisance of other fields like anthropology, sociology and archaeology, critical thinking and political theory. I have an enthusiasm for teaching which I hope will be my ultimate career.

My initial aim will be to discover your needs and assess your level of understanding of your subject with a view to tailoring lessons to aid depth of understanding. We will discuss the subject at length before addressing the fine details of any assignment or work task you are required to produce. When you receive results we will analyse and discuss them with a view to improvement.

I find that people learn best when they feel comfortable so I would be interested in learning about your interests and preferred learning style. My lessons would be tailored to take account of these things so that you neither feel bored nor overwhelmed. It is equally important that we work at your pace, whilst being mindful of any deadlines in place. I will then assess any ongoing needs to enable you to expand on your learning and move to the next level.

I find that learning is most effective when you are relaxed and confident so we would be looking at means of improving your confidence as well as your competence.
