As someone who has only left school in the past couple of years I am extremely familiar with the content. I also know how tricky the content can be and how frustrating maths can be. I will aim to build up confidence as well as show how maths and problem solving can be enjoyable with a little work!

I am also currently studying a maths degree, so I have a strong knowledge of the content and so will be able to help you think about them in different ways. For me, the best way to learn maths is to practice, so once you are familiar with the content a lot of the lessons will be about working through exam-style questions and learning tips and tricks. I will spend time finding appropriate questions on a topic and slowly build up the difficulty. This firstly helps students to not get disheartened immediately by a difficult question, but also allows me to assess where the gaps in their knowledge are. That way I can tailor the lessons and bridge the gaps to give you the best chance to succeed in your exams.

Lots of people see maths as something you either can or can't do, but I don't believe that. It is all about finding the right way to teach each individual student.
