About me

The lessons would be tailored to you as a student, very much factoring in the level you're at. They would range from a wide range of theory to practical lessons and would make sure that you were getting the right support all the way through.

The lessons would be tailored to you as a student, very much factoring in the level you're at. They would range from a wide range of theory to practical lessons and would make sure that you were getting the right support all the way through.

I'd make sure that I was checking for understanding and learning at each lesson and provide extra work to be done outside the time if required/wanted.

The theory would be hands on, making sure there was plenty of opportunity for you to experience the 'why' of what you're learning. It's very important that you enjoy the learning and bring to it an enthusiasm to learn as much as you can.

A perfect example of this would be how I teach the exposure triangle and how the camera works. You will also learn to apply techniques in the real world to get the best results.

Each camera is different so there would time spent building an understanding of how to get the very best out of the equipment you have and look at providing a sensible and practical mindset for any future equipment changes.

There would also be work that models and expands on the great photographers in fields of interest to you, the student.

I think it's key that you get as much opportunity to submit physical work and have that work assessed.

I will also teach you how to self-critique your own work to allow you to grow independently as an artist and really find your craft.
