I am passionate about teaching. I always want to impart my knowledge and experiences.
Teaching has been part of me since my junior high school days where I would help classmates understand topics they had difficulty with. This continued to the tertiary level.
After my tertiary education, I decided to help students who did not pass their senior secondary school certificates examination to resit.
And I must say, it was a success. Students who had E, D and in some cases Fail in Accounting (my area of specialisation) in their first attempt at the certificate exam, achieving A’s and B’s after my intervention.
Besides, I have assisted undergraduate and post graduate students with their course work.
I always believe that teaching is a way of building others intellectually and mentally. It has to be interactive and interesting and also using real life situations to explain every topic. This is my style of teaching.
I always want my students to grasp the underlying principles of every topic. This is a very important factor to achieving success as a tutor.
As a tutor, I am good at letting students generating interest in learning.
Teaching is an interesting and a profession that humbles you as a person. It is a give and take sought of thing. I do not only impart my knowledge and experience, I also learn from my students. Students I have come across have given my different perspectives and deeper insights about topics my their questioning and contributions.
I have learned a lot from my students over the years.
Teaching is my LIFE.
