The more conversations we can have the easier you might find it to learn your subject even through basic sign language! It’s mentally hard to focus on long texts or stories containing the beginning of how something was made, trust me I wanna skip those parts too! That’s why I feel comfortable using brief terminology that helps students claim a photographic memory so that you can turn something boring but important to a memorable reference point that can help you complete tasks for your chosen subjects in the future. If teaching/learning was meant to be boring we would all have the same knowledge and the same mindset, so I think it’s key that you, as a student are able to develop your skills and practice what you want to become from your own beliefs.
