I would first assess the level my students are at and gauge their level of understanding on the subject. My lessons would then be catered towards their level of understanding.
Lessons will be easygoing and once I believe the student has a firm understanding of the topic, we will move on to the next topic. As always though, practice is necessary so exercises will also be given so that students can put their understanding of the topic to the test.
When all topics are covered, extra emphasis will be put on topics that I or the student believe to be their weakest.
Lessons will be easygoing so once the student has achieved the specific target set for the day, lessons may end early. I believe this is also crucial so that students will be able to concentrate more as they will be motivated to end class faster. Quality over quantity.
If a student is having a hard time understanding a topic, I will do my best to find alternative methods or a different approach to help them.
