With both teaching approaches, I like to discover where the student is not so confident with, and also areas that they enjoy. This helps me tailor my approach to their learning uniquely to them.
Lessons cover whatever the student needs; this can be focused on one topic, linking in others to keep it varied and fresh for them, or many topics, tied together with a central theme.
I've taught during my time at university, have done some private tutoring to adults with neurodiverse backgrounds and different abilities and I'm a STEM Ambassador for my work, having worked with students from 13-19 and 18-40.
