My experience ranges from analytical chemistry and inorganic to pharmacology and biochemistry. I enjoy breaking down concepts to their absolute fundamentals and building knowledge from there. Being able to understand fundamentals provides the techniques necessary to properly apply the materials learned. I am able to adapt to the learning needs of the student and present information in a way that they will best understand. I am passionate about chemistry and science and aim to make all lessons interesting and fun on top of productive and ensuring the student leaves feeling more confident than before. Learning hard sciences is all about breaking it down and building it back up, so getting through those walls is something I find really motivating to be a good teacher. I always learn something new each lesson too, sometimes being be a better way to explain something due to seeing material from a different perspective. It is important to try to see things from the students point of view to be able to properly break down materials and be on the same wavelength when it comes to teaching. I love teaching and learning from students and finding new and interesting ways to apply the fundamentals of chemistry to everyday life. In terms of format, I prefer using old school methods of analyzing textbooks and working through problems but I can adapt to any students needs and am open to utilizing any tools necessary to ensure the best results! I have experience with creating online courses and teaching virtually as well.
