Daisy Wain

Hola! I'm Daisy, a university student with a passion for language learning and teaching. I started learning Spanish at school, where my enthusiasm for the subject led to me achieving a 9 in my GCSE and A* at A-Level. I now study Spanish as part of my degree, and this year I am completing a year studying abroad in Barcelona so as to fully immerse myself in the language.

I have a year's tutoring experience on an online tutoring platform, on which I mostly tutored GCSE students in hour-long, pre-planned one to one lessons. I can take a flexible approach towards the way in which I deliver my Spanish lessons; I can let students guide me by telling me which areas of the subject they wish to work on, or I can take the lead and deliver a broader programme to cover more areas and identify weaknesses myself. I like to make use of a wide range of resources, and these can vary to fit individual students. One of the most valuable resources I have are the notes on techniques that I used myself to achieve the top grades in my exams, which are still fresh in my mind as they were not that long ago!

I am looking forward to working with students to improve their Spanish and share my love of language learning!
