I studied mathematics to undergraduate level (and statistics to masters level) at university and was an official tutor for undergraduate students which I enjoyed immensely.

The format I use is to initially gain an understanding of the purpose/need for the lessons, the level of the student and then look at the material to be covered, and based on that setting clear goals for each lesson.
