My name is Curtis Johns, I've been involved with games developement for around 5 years and have had my hand in many preverbial pies, though one that has always been my favourite is Level Design! Something about creating an environment and layout that hundreds of thousands of people might experience is so truly exciting to me and I hope you feel the same, it'll help you immensely! This course will help you from wherever you are starting, we'll take a look at your personal needs and work from there to get you making levels in as smooth a fashion as possible.

For example, if you are starting from the ground up we'll begin with yourself, what you enjoy about Games Design and whether or not you are truly a fit for Level Design itself, as the definition might seem straight forward it is often misunderstood. Once we've established your starting point and certainty we'll get going right away with some theory, then onto practical work within a software of your choice, whether it be something like the Source Engine, Unreal or something even more old school like Trenchbroom for Quake.

I really want to get to know people personally and figure out what they want to get out of my lessons so I can best cater to their own needs, after all there is no use me teaching you about something you don't plan to apply for your own use!
