My name is Cristina García. I have a degree in Hispanic philology and a master's degree in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. In 2017 I obtained my PhD cum laude in Hispanic philology. In addition, I am a native Spanish speaker. Throughout my life, I have been a teacher on countless occasions: for children, for secondary school students, for adults, for different companies, for university students, etc. At all times, I try to adapt to the needs of the students, offering my academic knowledge, but also my expertise as a native lover of Spanish culture in all its dimensions.
I discovered that I wanted to become a teacher when I was younger. From the day I started to study the impact of education on society I knew I wanted to be part of the change.
Throughout my career as a teacher I have implemented different educational methodologies, which adapted to the specific characteristics of each group of students.
My students would say that I am an attentive teacher and that I like to pay attention to details. I try to connect with each one of them and offer them personalised attention. They would also say that I am fun, that I explain concepts with examples they understand and that I like to use music and games in class. I think my students are satisfied with my work as a teacher and see me as a dedicated and patient teacher.
I would love to be given an opportunity as a Spanish teacher.
