My approach to teaching is not to tell a person what they were going to learn and how they are going to do it, but instead communicate with them to find out what they want to learn and work out together which is the best way to achieve this to suit their needs and skills.
I have 7+ years of teaching experience with an electric and acoustic guitar. I aim to keep the lessons fun, engaging, and interactive. I will usually start you off by learning all the basic names of the strings and the very basics of getting to grips with your instrument. From here, we will start to look at the basic use of the right hand with string picking, then move on to implementing our left hand to start to play notes and chords. We will steadily work up to learning all the basic chord shapes needed to play the most common songs that we all know and love.
It's then up to you how much you would like to progress and learn. We can keep it simple and fun, or get more into the nitty gritty side of scales, soloing, and music theory. Whatever you are comfortable with and find enjoyment in is what we will go with.
