I am native to the English language, however I have achieved Scottish Higher in English and Scottish Higher in Communication. I use PowerPoints, Kahoots, Videos, Pictures for teaching but like to focus on what each students best learning techniques are and incorporate that into my lessons. I have spoken the English language for 20 years, written for 16, written in proper english for 7 years and have studied English at advanced levels for a few years. I enjoy teaching and have taught primary school children and tutored classmates of secondary school and college level. I am patient, understanding and willing to put in the time my students need to get to where they want or need to be. I will support students whom are going to be taking exams, with study techniques, to memorise efficiently. I will ensure they understand any terms they need to and are prepared to the best of their abilities. Those who are younger, and may have spelling tests will be supported with techniques to recall how to spell each word, I will break these down and remind them of the sounds letters make. Any student who is learning will be encouraged to ask questions if they are unsure, offer their own suggestions as they are the learner and be supported from start to finish.
