My first approach to my students aims to investigate their inclinations, experiences and expectations. For this reason, at the beginning of my lessons, I quickly test my students' previous knowledge in order to teach them the skills that are adequate to their learning level. I scaffold the lesson modelling the techniques step by step, explaining "How" and "Why" to proceed in a certain way. I always contextualise the technique to the historical period it was invented, to enrich my students' cultural capital. I love to share my Italian cultural background explaining the Latin roots of some art term and process and to best represent the Made in Italy, I am also a Fashion Designer. I create original designs, I draw the pattern and sew the final piece chosing the fabrics and often painting them. I am excited to see my students' faces when they create an original dress from a simple piece of fabric. My passion for my subject is palpable and I am very committed top open other's peoples eyes to the beauty and grace of art. I aim to transfer the same passion to my students and give them the tools to express their inner selves through lines, colours and other media.
