My name is Constance Goh and I am a biochemistry student studying at the University of St Andrews.
As a university student who just graduated from GCSE a few years ago, I have a deeper understanding of the difficulties that secondary students may encounter. Additionally, I am highly confident in my chemistry and biology knowledge, which is evident from my A* grades in both GCSE chemistry and biology. Furthermore, I received the Pearson Outstanding Learner Award for achieving the highest mark in Malaysia in chemistry and biology, and a medal award for best achievement in Organic Chemistry during my foundation year.
As one of the top students, I have always been proactive in assisting my classmates with any questions they may have regarding scientific concepts they find challenging. This experience has made me well-acquainted with teaching and supporting students in overcoming academic obstacles and realizing their full potential. I am excited about the opportunity to equip students with study skills that will prove invaluable throughout their academic careers, enabling them to maximize their potential.
To ensure flexibility, I will be conducting classes online using either Zoom or Skype, depending on the student’s preference. The lesson content will be tailored to align with the student’s curriculum. Each session will typically begin with addressing any academic questions the student may have, followed by teaching a specific topic and concluding with practice questions to reinforce the concepts covered in that lesson. However, lesson plan may change according to the student's preference.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any further inquiries. I am eagerly looking forward to working with KS3 or GCSE students needing help with chemistry or biology.
