Conor Morris

I am a graduate of University with a BA Hons (First Class) degree and an MA degree in History with a broad knowledge of the subject that I am aiming to teach to those who want or need to learn. My main area of expertise is early modern and 17th century history, but I have accumulated my own personal knowledge on a wide variety of areas of history beyond my educational curriculum. My lessons are aimed at helping students to broaden their knowledge of a particular area in order to understand the wider context of the period before they consider the more challenging debates within those areas. I have learned from my previous experience with history education that it can prove overwhelming for students when they are faced with dissecting the deeper details of history without contextualizing the subject. My lessons will aim to develop a student's understanding by simplifying the historical background through dates, events and key figures. By the end of my lessons, I want my students to be able to have accumulated a full and clear understanding of a historical subject they did not initially know of in order to apply the wider challenges of the next stage of history education.
